Discover baby signing, a wonderful way to communicate with your child, before he/she can talk!

Baby signing (using gestures based on British Sign Language) is a fun, social and educational activity for babies and their carers – and it can be shared by all members of the extended family.

With baby signing :

• Families find that understanding and communication between babies and adults becomes easier and less frustrating.
• Parents and babies gain confidence in their interactions and in their language and motor skills.
• Everyone thrives on the social interaction, games and singing that is part of baby signing.

The Baby Signing covers key topics important to a family with a baby. These include useful every day signs (such as food, bed time, transport, health, weather…), lots of babies favourites (such as animals) and, so important, emotions and feelings.

We use song, rhymes, games and toys to make each session a fun and favourite part of the week. Plus, we will have some fun with Christmassy songs and signs. There are also handouts and activities at home to help parents use the signs throughout the week.

Each week we learn new signs and songs to go with them, and we practice some of the signs from the previous week. And there is a special graduation treat at the end of the course for the families who have attended all 6 sessions!

Practical info

➡️ From November 3rd to December 8th on Tuesday mornings 10.00-10.45 . Join the 6-weeks cycle and learn something new each time. Or come to individual sessions as a drop in.

➡️ Suitable for babies and children from 4 months upwards and also for two or more siblings together.

➡️ Price : 150 CHF for the 6-weeks course or 25 CHF / session. Price per family. Priority is given to families booking the full 6-weeks course.

• Only one family at a time in the Cafe. 15 minutes will be allowed between each session to air and sanitize the room.
• Families will be asked to wash their hands when they arrive. There will be sanitizer available.
  During the photoshoot, the photographer will stay at least 2 meters away to keep a safety distance. Therefore, we may require a bit of help from a parent to position young children in front of the camera.
• We will provide no accessories to avoid any contamination between families. But, of course, you are welcome to bring your own accessories from home. For example a favorite toy that you would like on the picture.
